smecta has an orange - vanilla flavour that is patient friendly, and appeals to children.

smecta has 3 age-related dosage options:^(1-2)#

Babies under 1 year:
Mix smecta in baby's bottle with 50 ml water*

Children >1 year:
Mix smecta with 50 ml water or semi liquid food (pap, purée, baby food)*†

Adults:
Mix smecta in 200 ml of water

It is recommended that after dosing with smecta to wait an hour before dosing with other medications.
